The Junior Section at Brackenwood

The Junior section was established in 1974 and celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1999. The section was formed by Mr Sam Roberts, a past Captain of Brackenwood. The section has always been at the forfront of Junior golf and in 2004 achieved the prestigious Junior Golfmark Award. This recognised the efforts over many years of providing high quality golf for Juniors. Brackenwood was the first Club in Cheshire to achieve the award from the English Golf Union and English Womens Glf Association.

In 2007 the Club was revalidated for the new Golfmark Award including Clubmark. The first Club in Cheshire to have its award revalidated. This again demonstrated Brackenwood as a forward thinking, professional organisation for Golf.
