Wirral Open Championship 2010
The 25th Wirral Open Championship was played on Saturday 3rd July in glorious weather on an immaculate course and with that foremost in our minds the Captain and the club members would like to thank the Council, Chris Southall and his happy band of workers for all their hard work in setting up the course so well.
Mr Neil Nethrercott of Ksealglass presented a cheque in the sum of £1,500 to Haley Dykes of St Johns Hospice ably asisted by the Capatain, Keith Marsh.
The Past Captain, Keith Elliot, and Vicky Forshaw did a great job attracting hole sponsorship and also convincing Ksealglass to become our main sponsor in thei out 75th anniverary year. Mr Nethercott was prepared to donate £1,500 to St.Johns Hospice which the club were delighted to be associated with.
This year we have a new name on the Championship Trophy, Robert Jones, a membedr of Arrow park Golf club and a long standing supporter of the Wirral Open Championship.
The Captain and the organisers wish to thank all the competitors who continue to make the Wrirral Open Championship one of the best supported open competitions in the area and long may it continue. We sincerely hope you will all take part again next year so that we can try to make next year even better.
