Welcome to Brackenwood Ladies Golf Club 

 

We are a hospitable and sociable club with 51 playing members and our aim is to enjoy playing golf with friendly, like minded ladies. Our weekly competitions are followed by refreshments in the clubhouse, results of the day, and a good chat! We also play matches with other Wirral clubs, both home and away, and always with the accent on "friendly".

Throughout the year we enjoy a varied programme of events, many, incorporating our golf competitions, with a meal and drinks in the clubhouse afterwards, and some purely social, with afternoon and evening functions.

In early summer we have our Lady Captain's Day out. A round of golf, evening meal and prize giving, at a club of the Captain's choice. Enjoyed by all, this is a wonderful day and as a result we get to play on some lovely courses, usually with a good test of golf, and in some scenic locations.

A highlight of the year is our golfing trip to Patshull Park; a two day break in a lovely hotel in the Shropshire countryside, with golf on a championship course and plenty of time for socialising afterwards!

The year is rounded off with our prize giving when the winners receive their trophies at the Lady Captain's lunch in November.

In 2016 we will celebrate 80 years of golf at Brackenwood and you can be sure that this momentous occasion will not go by without a full programme of events, both on and off the course.

This is just a taste of what's on offer at our club, so whether you are just starting out, or are an accomplished golfer you will be welcomed by the ladies of Brackenwood.
